Czech visual artist Adéla Součková has unveiled a new site-specific installation at the prestigious group exhibition Vies Minuscules at the Panthéon in Paris. Standing approximately six metres tall, the textile work is one of the centrepieces of the exhibition, co-produced by the Centre Pompidou and the Centre des Monuments Nationaux.

The Dejvice Theatre has prepared a three-year strategy to systematically strengthen its international context. It will focus on international touring, co-productions, cooperation with European artists and the creation of a support structure that will make international activities a permanent part of the theatre’s work.

The Ji.hlava International Documentary Film Festival has built one of the most extensive festival programmes for children and teenage audiences in Europe. Over the next three years, it plans to share this unique Czech know-how with representatives of film festivals from around the world. The organisers’ aim is for the number of festivals that include programmes for children and young people in their official dramaturgy to grow significantly by 2029.

The art festival Prague Art Week is developing Meet the Scene, a programme that brings international curators, cultural managers, critics and other visual arts professionals to Prague. Its second edition, planned for September, aims to further strengthen the international visibility of the Czech visual arts scene, expand its professional contacts and create new opportunities for international cooperation.

This unique project by the Czech Handel Society will feature tenor Petr Nekoranec and harpsichordist Kateřina Ochmanová in the programme Viaggio in Europa. Focusing on European Baroque opera, the programme will first be presented at Břevnov Monastery in Prague and shortly afterwards at the prestigious Bayreuth Baroque festival. Among other things, the project will help showcase Czech musical artistry abroad.

To mark the appearance of the Czech Republic as Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair this autumn (Czechia 2026), the Brno-based publisher Větrné mlýny is offering a fresh perspective on the country from the outside. Instead of following the traditional model of cultural exchange, in which Czech authors travel abroad, its Beyond Prague project invites twelve leading German-language writers to Czechia – and deliberately sends them somewhere other than Prague. Their destinations are regions and regional capitals across the country, where month-long residencies give rise to literary portraits of places that usually remain outside the international spotlight.
